Q. What does a maths tutorial involve?A tutorial is your time to ask as many questions as you like. You have access to professionally designed Power Point lessons to help you with any new topics. During your lesson you will be given well structured lesson notes and carefully prepared exercises on the topic you are currently doing at school. These are to be handed in upon completion and will be marked and returned the following week for discussion. At the end of each tutorial, students are given assignments or topic tests on the work done in the tutorial to be completed and returned for marking at their next tutorial time. Students also have access to an enormous library of practise topic tests and practise exams to help them prepare for half yearly and final exams. |

Q. How much does a maths tutorial cost?Maths tuition fees range from $32 p/hr for juniors and from $72 for a two hour session for seniors. A substantial discount is given if payment is made before your second lesson. We do not accept credit cards. |

Q. How large are the classes?Every class is limited to a minimum of four students and maximum of six. This allows for individual attention and effective communication. |
Q. How many times a week do I need to attend?Regular attendance is imperative for maximum benefit. However, it is up to you and you can attend as often as you like. |
Q. What do I need to bring with me?Just bring a calculator and writing equipment, everything else will be provided for you. A copy of your most recent school exam would be a great help for us to assess areas of mathematics which we could work together to improve. |
Q. What if I need help outside of tutorial times?If you have any questions outside your normal tutorial time you can fax or email us, and a solution will be promptly sent back to you. Click here for our contact details. This service is free of charge and is available to all regular students. |
Q. How can my parents find out about my progress in class?Parents are welcome to ring us and discuss the progress of their child at any time. We can also be contacted by emails. Please ask about our special monitoring reports. |
Q. What if I need help when I start University?If you are starting University and would like some help, our Randwick office now offers tutoring in 1st Year University Mathematics. Bring your tutorial exercises with you to the lessons so Gary can help you bridge the gap between Secondary and Tertiary Studies. |
